The Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders – Playing a Part in History

There are a small number of charitable organizations that are very closely linked to The American Red Cross. Two of the more notable of these are The Clara Barton Society, which I will discuss tomorrow, and The Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders. The society recognizes the vital role women have played throughout the history of The American Red Cross.

The Tiffany Circle, as the Society is often known, is a nationwide leadership network of female leaders and philanthropists who want to change lives, save lives, and strengthen communities through a $10,000 donation to their local Chapter of The American Red Cross. The women of The Tiffany Circle also support their communities through an investment of their time and their abilities .

The name Tiffany, and the donation figure of $10,000 specifically recognize two historical precedents in the history of The American Red Cross. The Circle is named after the beautiful Tiffany windows in the Board of Governor’s Hall at The American Red Cross national headquarters in Washington D.C. The American Red Cross President Mabel Boardman commissioned these windows, produced by the Tiffany Studios, in 1917. The Women’s Relief Corps of the North, and the United Daughters of the Confederacy of the South, and as an act of reconciliation and hop, each gave $5,000 to pay for them .

The women depicted in the Tiffany windows personify the virtues at work in The American Red Cross: hope, mercy, faith, charity, truth and fortitude. Members of The Tiffany Circle provide living examples of these virtues in their own communities, ensuring that their local Chapter has the ability to provide the services required by the local community .

This year The Tiffany Circle Society of Women Leaders will be holding a leadership summit on the 8th and 9th of June, in Washington D.C. For more information contact Director of Development, Michelle McMullen by phone on (817) 335-9317, ext. 234, or send an email to mcmullenm@usa.redcross.org.

Many of us cannot afford such large donations, but we can help by providing smaller donations of money, clothing, blood, or used cars, and other vehicles. It doesn’t matter how big or small the donation is, it really makes a difference .

Guides to organize your time effectively at airport

Liverpool Airport, AKA Liverpool John Lennon Airport, is 7 miles southeast from the town centre, close to the River Mersey. This airport handles more than five million passengers yearly and thus has a good spread of vehicle parking facilities.

The airfield can be reached by vehicle from the M53 and M56 motorways through the A533 main road. From the north, the Knowsley Expressway links the airport to the M57 and M62 motorways.

The on-airport car parking provides good access to the airport check-in, which is inside walking distance. However, many folks prefer to use the meet and greet parking facilities for the explanations detailed below.

An elected driver can be scheduled to meet you at the airfield terminal building. You then give the automobile keys to the driver who takes your car to a secure automobile park, away from the airfield. This problem-free service is also called Valet Parking.

Your auto’s brought to a parking compound which is probably going to have high security fencing, floodlighting, CCTV cameras and security patrols. Plenty of the automobile parks used have the Park Mark safer parking approval. This means the automobile park has been vetted by the police and has facilities which make it as secure as possible.

The dope of security can be checked on airfield car parking websites.

Families with kids find the meet and greet service very helpful. A disabled person also benefits from not needing to move to the terminal from a multi-storey vehicle park. Any person with particularly heavy baggage, ungainly sporting clobber or musical instruments is probably going to like to use meet and greet.

Meet and greet can save time compared with the choices of the on-airport automobile park which needs a walk to the terminal with bags or transfer by bus.

Having a meet and greet driver is more expensive than the park and ride system and it’s best to look thoroughly at the charges of the numerous websites providing the meet and greet services.

Booking parking facilities in advance and online can make serious savings.
